Terms of Use
StayWise is intermediation technology. The care itself is agreed between you and an independent provider.
Version 2026-01 · drafted 2026-08-05
Preliminary version
This text is under legal review. It describes how StayWise works today and is the version referenced by the consent you give at registration; clauses still being reviewed are listed at the end of each document instead of being asserted here.
What StayWise does
StayWise provides intermediation technology through which pet owners find independent care providers, exchange information, request a quote and follow a booking.
StayWise is not a party to the care contract, does not employ providers and does not process booking payments. Price, payment method and timing, financial cancellation, receipts and taxes are agreed and settled directly between the parties, unless a future service and revised terms expressly say otherwise.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information and keep your credentials safe.
- Disclose your animal’s relevant needs: risks, medication, vaccination status, emergency contacts and care instructions.
- Do not use the platform for fraud, scraping, harassment, unlawful content, or to circumvent platform controls.
Providers remain responsible for assessing whether they have the capacity, premises, qualifications and experience a request calls for, and for declining what they cannot take on.
Quotes, acceptance and the host’s address
Quotes and availability may change until the moment you accept. The host’s exact address and private contact details are released only after acceptance — before that, the listing shows an approximate area.
Clinical disclaimer
The platform, its filters and its profiles do not provide diagnosis, prescription or veterinary triage, and do not replace advice from a qualified veterinarian. Pet sitters and boarding providers are not a substitute for veterinary care.
In an emergency, contact a veterinary service immediately and follow the emergency plan agreed for the stay. Owners should obtain professional guidance on medication, clinical conditions, vaccination and fitness for boarding; providers should refuse care beyond their competence or facilities.
Suspension and enforcement
StayWise may suspend accounts, remove content and preserve evidence where that is necessary for safety, for an investigation, or to meet a legal obligation.
What this preliminary version does not yet settle
These points are with legal review and are deliberately not asserted here:
- The contracting entity, minimum age, territory, governing law and forum.
- The precise legal role of StayWise and of hosts, including responsibility for selection and verification.
- Cancellation and commercial policy, and how off-platform payment is recorded.
- Limits of liability, warranties, indemnity, insurance and incident response.
- Consumer-specific rules for Brazil, Hungary and the wider EU.
